Question: How do you force ReadSync to ignore disk warnings
Senario: Kitchen computer has a 20Gb HD but my wife uses to sync her smartphone to. It has about 6Gb of free space which is not ideal but it should be enough. The media files are stored on a remote drive. ReadySync will not start saying it is out of disk space. If I choose to complete the conversion manually then all goes well.
Is there a way around this.
Thanks |

Unfortunately, there's no workaround in version 3.0 other that converting the file manually with MyTV ToGo.
The idea behind this is that ReadySync won't start unless there is more than 2x the size of the original media file available on the hard drive. Although, MyTV ToGo simply monitors disk space in real time since it's a user-initiated action and can provide feedback if you actually run out of disk space during a manual conversion.
This is a good point. I have created a feature request to allow a user-defined value for free disk space threshold in ReadySync and/or to simply allow ReadySync to begin a conversion and fail when there’s no space available. _________________ Thanks!

What is the algorithm used to calculate the disk space needed?
I have ReadySync setup to auto covert selected shows. Has been working, but not since yesterday.
Tried to do one of them manually but got the 'not enough disk space' message.
I have 50GB left on a 160GB drive. The show is 2-3GB in MCE2005.
Doesn't make sense to me. What am I missing?

Hi Dave,
ReadySync verifies that there's twice the size of the original TV show available before it will convert the TV show. 50Gb free should not be a problem for ReadySync. If you email me (support@mytvtogo.com) a copy of your mytvtogo log files I can evalutate what is going wrong. You can find these files in your "My Documents\My Videos\MyTV ToGo Files\Support" folder. _________________ Thanks!
