So I just tried out the demo version of your program. I have to say this seems to be a great program and there really is a market niche for this space. I've been looking for a program to do *exactly* what MyTv ToGo is trying to do. Right now there are a couple things that are preventing me from buying this program.
1. I love the ReadySync idea and before I found MyTv I was going to create my own solution but ReadySync seems much more elegant. The key show stopper is that I keep getting a message that there isn't enough disk space for ReadySync to work. When I check the free disk space I have 6.58GB free. So as of yet, I haven't been able to try out this feature. Is there a specific threshold that causes this message to appear? Is it percentage free space or a specific size amount?
2. It looks like you guys on the iPod Video conversion are using the regular MPEG 4 codec. The latest and greatest is the AVC format (aka H.264). A 30 minute show converted with the currect codec you guys are using is 116 MB at the lowest quality and 160x120 resolution. The same 30 minute show with the high quality H.264 codec with 320x320 resolution is 48MB. The iPod video supports AVC/H.264 natively. You guys should really think about looking at this new codec technology.
3. I need to be able to redirect the "copy to" directory over a network share as I use my living room media pc for TV and my office desktop for HotSync. There may be a way to do this currently, but I can't find it.
4. I can't seem to find out how to run MyTv ToGo from within the Media Center interface? I can only get there through the Start menu. Am I missing something?
5. Is there a way to "script" the conversion process? For example, there is some open source software out there that can mark and remove commercials. I'd like to be able to add that to the conversion process.

Hi Nick,
Thank for the feedback.
1.ReadySync checks for free space on the hard drive for two-times the size of the TV show that you are converting. So, with 6.5GB free you might be running into this issue. We are reducing this requirement for the next version of MyTV ToGo. Further, MyTV ToGo Plus will have Advanced Settings which will allow you to convert TV Shows to a hard drive of your choice instead of the “My Videos” folder.
2.We’re currently working on adding MPEG4-AVC support for the PSP and iPod. We’re actually a few months behind schedule but looks to be shaping-up for a release very soon (I probably shouldn’t have typed that … everything will certainly fall apart now ). MPEG4-AVC results in file sizes that are about ˝ the size of the Mpeg4-10 equivalent. They take a bit longer to convert but with ReadySync technology that’s not too important.
3.You will be able to convert TV shows to any folder or hard drive you wish with the upcoming Advanced Settings option.
4.MyTV ToGo should be located under the More Programs link within Media Center. If it’s not then you might try re-installing MyTV ToGo: uninstall MyTV ToGo, reboot your Media Center PC, then reinstall MyTV ToGo. This should fix any broken links.
5.MyTV ToGo does not currently support external scripting. Good idea though. That idea is already on our “feature evaluation” list. _________________ Thanks!
